Thea has various physical and mental health conditions and contacted us.
Having her Personal Independence Payment (PIP) award reduced, despite her health conditions worsening. This caused her so much upset and stress. She explained to us how this decision devastated her especially after trying to challenge the decision herself without success.
Citizens Advice Torfaen supported Thea to submit an appeal providing evidence of how the client’s conditions had worsened. The decision was overturned without Thea having to attend a tribunal hearing, preventing so much stress and concern for her. Thea was delighted by this outcome as she couldn’t stop thinking about having to attend the hearing but knew she needed to get her PIP back in place to help her live, so this has given her peace of mind and relieved her of so much worry.
