The calculator is suitable for most people permanently living in the UK. It is not meant for people in hospital, residential care, on strike or in prison. Also if your situation is complex, for example you are self employed or have health conditions its best to make an appointment to see us. If this applies to you, please see our contact page and get in touch with us directly. Calculations should be treated as a helpful estimate, as it will only be as accurate as the information entered.
Please be aware that some of the rules around moving on to Universal Credit are currently in flux and unclear, we can advise on this.

If you would like to submit your calculation to us, you can click the “Send to Advisor” button in the top right of the calculator page; make sure to include your name and a contact telephone number in the “Message” field so that we can get back to you to discuss your case. If you are an existing client and know your reference number, you can include that too.
