This course aims to provide those working directly with clients with the fundamentals of debt in order to assist clients.

What is covered in the course?

Attendees will cover the following:

  • Different types of debt
  • Identifying debts as priority or non-priority
  • Enforcement of priority & non priority debts and options for dealing with them
  • Financial statements
  • Informal options for dealing with non- priority debts, including full and final offers of payment, write offs and full and final settlements
  • Insolvency options including Debt Relief Orders, Bankruptcy, Individual Voluntary Arrangements and Administration Orders
